ACN Has Achieved Record Success!

ACN launched operations January 1993 in Southfield, Michigan, as a long distance agent for a company by the name of LCI International. LCI had very little market share in the residential community, which positioned ACN to take the lead as their consumer sales and marketing arm. LCI was later purchased by Qwest Communications for $4.4 billion, and ACN represented an astonishing one-third of LCI's business.

ACN's international expansion started in June 1997 when operations were extended into Canada. Today, ACN markets and provides service in 19 countries, with more on the way:

In 1998 ACN began providing natural gas and electricity services in select areas in the US through its wholly owned subsidiary ACN Energy, headquartered in McLean, Virginia. By turning power into customer empowerment, ACN Energy committed itself to providing its subscribers long-term value and competitive rates. Hundreds of thousands of people have made ACN Energy their choice for utility services, and that number continues to grow.

Along the way, ACN realized the only way to provide truly personalized service was to become a telephone company. And in July of 2000, that became a reality with the introduction of ACN's own long distance service in the U.S. Through ACN Long Distance, the company set the standard for outstanding long distance service, offering residential and commercial long distance service to millions of customers, with a constant focus on superior value and customer satisfaction.

In ACN's boldest move yet, during January 2003, the dawn of its 10-year anniversary, ACN exploded onto the local calling scene in North America, providing customers with the freedom to choose their local phone service provider. Today, ACN Local Telephone Services features a variety of calling plans, bundling the premier local and long distance services together into one, convenient, easy to understand plan. And with the growth of ACN Local Services spreading nationwide, ACN is providing what truly can be called the ideal ACN telecommunications package – ACN Advantage.
